What Makes Us Different

OP Tree Nursery specializes in one thing: selecting and professionally installing premium trees for residential properties. We grow and stock larger nursery trees — the kind you can’t easily find at a home improvement store and definitely can’t haul home yourself.

We operate by appointment only for tree selection visits. This allows us to give you our full attention, answer your questions, and make sure you leave with the right trees for your property — not just whatever happened to be close to the door.

Start by giving us a call at (936) 301-1832 or filling out the contact form on our website. Let us know what you’re looking for — shade trees, privacy plantings, ornamentals, or something specific you have in mind. Don’t worry if you’re not sure yet. That’s what the next step is for.

We Call You Back & Schedule Your Appointment

Unlike most nurseries, we don’t just let customers walk in. We reach out, ask a few questions about your property, what you’re envisioning, your timeline, and any site-specific considerations. This way, when you arrive for your appointment, we already know what to show you. We schedule appointments based on our availability — typically a day and time that works for both you and our team.

Come Visit & Select Your Trees

At your appointment, you’ll walk the nursery with our team and select exactly the trees you want for your property. We’ll talk through placement, mature sizing, irrigation considerations, and anything else you need to know.

Small container plants (15-gallon, 30-gallon): These can go home with you the same day if you have the ability to transport them.

All larger trees (B&B and larger container stock): These are sold with professional installation. You cannot take these with you — they require our equipment and crew to move and plant correctly.

Review Pricing & Place a Down Payment

Review our Pricing & Availability sheet for current tree pricing. Once you’ve made your selections, a down payment is collected to cover the cost of your trees and hold your install date.

We Prepare for Installation

Before your install date, we contact 811 to have all underground utility lines marked on your property. This is a safety step we handle on your behalf — no action required from you. We coordinate the install date and confirm details with you in advance.

Installation Day

Our crew arrives with the trees and all necessary equipment. We handle proper placement, digging, planting technique, and initial establishment care — everything required for your trees to thrive in Texas soil and climate. Before we leave, we walk through care instructions with you so you know exactly how to maintain your investment in the weeks and months ahead.

The remaining balance is due upon completion of the installation.

Pricing Structure

Standard Trees (Ornamental & Shade)

  • $600 minimum labor — covers installation of up to 4 ornamental trees or 2 shade trees
  • Shade trees after minimum: $185 per tree
  • Ornamental trees after minimum: $80 per tree
  • Tree cost is in addition to labor (shown on pricing sheet)

Large Trees

  • Labor starts at $750 for large tree installation
  • Tree pricing starts at $350 and is priced individually based on species and size
  • Large trees are priced and quoted on a per-tree basis

Common Questions

We ask that all visits be scheduled in advance. This is so we can give you the time and attention you deserve, and have the right team member available to walk you through our inventory. Walk-ins may not be accommodated. Call us at (936) 301-1832 to schedule your visit.

Small container plants (15-gallon and 30-gallon) can be taken home the same day if you have a way to transport them safely. All larger trees — including all B&B and large container stock — are sold with professional installation only. They require our equipment and crew to move and plant correctly, and we will not release these trees for customer pick-up.

Installation is required for most trees and is priced separately from the tree itself. Please refer to our Pricing & Availability sheet or call us at (936) 301-1832 with any questions about what’s included.

Spring is our busiest season. We recommend scheduling as early as possible if you have a specific timeframe in mind. Give us a call and we’ll let you know current availability.
